Premier Evolvics is a part of the US$ 210 million Premier Mills group, Coimbatore, India. Premier commenced operation in 1983 by manufacturing products under license from Zellweger Uster AG, Switzerland and marketing them within India. Since 1996, Premier is independently developing, manufacturing and marketing its products to the textile industry worldwide. Premier provides a complete range of solutions for the textile industry to improve quality and productivity.

Premier focuses on the following distinct areas of manufacturing: fiber testing equipment, yarn testing equipment, yarn clearing systems, online quality and production monitoring systems for spinning and weaving, mill management solution.

Premier has a well established worldwide sales and service network in more than 45 countries, which includes Latin America, Europe, Africa and Asia. Its Chinese subsidiary, Premier Jiangsu Textile Electronic Co Ltd., was established in June 2004 to service the Chinese market. Premier's after sales support system consists of engineers and spare-parts stationed at strategic points around the world. This network is further enhanced with an Internet based fault diagnosis system in-built into its products, with which it is possible for engineers at its headquarters to diagnose and solve the most complicated issues.

With world-class quality standards and user-friendly features in the products, supported by a competent and responsive service team, Premier's products have received worldwide market acceptance. The technologically advanced products and services will also now be available in new business areas of machine vision systems, security and identification systems and similar technology oriented areas.

Can you elaborate on some of the flagship products you have?

I will speak about Premier ART2. It is a fully automatic high volume cotton tester with modules for testing length, strength, micronaire, color, maturity and trash with two options, namely Optical Trash and G-Trash. In this, we have come up with flat sampling technology which is a radically new sample preparation technique. It totally eliminates the operator influence. The patented flat sampling technique helps in preparation of uniform and consistent fiber sample for testing by applying uniform pressure on the cotton fabrics. In moisture measurement, we have the automatic moisture measurement which provides moisture content of the sample under testing. We also have the user friendly BaleSMART application software simplifies the bale management procedure such as Mix issue, Bale lay down, etc. It also helps in inventory management and control of mixing cost. Our feature G-Trash is an automatic gravimetric trash measurement which provides precise trash percentage.

The entire sequence of collection and weighing of trash is automated with single passage of material. Besides, there are other products like aQura2 a fibre and process information system measuring Nep, Length and Short fibre content is a comprehensive process control tool to ensure and balance between the ultimate yarn quality and lower process cost. True Nep and True SFC are unique features for excellent process control and to initiate action on associated quality parameters.

The patented Aero Mechanical Individualiser and specially designed comb arrangement for reliable Nep and Length measurements respectively with adequate sample size is an edge over competition making aQura2 the most reliable and accurate recognised by ITMF-ICCTM.

In the yarn testing segment: PREMIER iQ3 which is more than an evenness tester. The quality expert with innovative features analyses the test data trouble shoots the exceptions and provides a ready to use platform of unrivaled knowledge base. Distinguished features like hypersensitive imperfections opens up the new process control possibilities, imperfection distribution enables the user to identify the rogue cops, drafting wave analysis to detect and correct the faults in the draft zone automatically etc. It is also equipped with three hairiness measurement techniques hairiness index, hair count and hair severity.

Ultimo: Ultimate monitoring solution to optimise man power, energy, productivity and quality with individual sensor per spindle.
