Shop-in-Shops Format From Gaps To Make India Debut With 17 Outlets

The leading franchisee of Gap in India, Arvind Lifestyle Brands has recently announced the launch of 17 Gap shop-in-shops. It will use the medium of multi-brand retail outlets too in order to expedite the access to its products pan India. The pan Indian presence will include tier II and tier III city markets the company stated.

 

The proposed shop-in-shops venture has decided to partner Kapsons Group, Iconic India and All That Jazz for the pan Indian presence. The outlets will be opened in Jammu, Amritsar, Ludhiana, Patiala, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, and Ranchi. This will be in addition to the existing retail outlets at Pune, Noida and New Delhi. The shop-in-shop format of Gap’s is making its debut in India according to the statement issued by the company.


Parag Dani, Gap business head at Arvind Lifestyle brands was quoted as telling the media, “Since Gap launched in India in 2015, the brand has witnessed strong growth in the country driven by its fans. Our latest expansion ensures that more people are able to experience Gap’s iconic American style through modern wardrobe staples – an ideology that’s welcomed in our market. We are confident that we will receive a great response from the people in these cities and we are incredibly excited about this journey.”

Currently, Arvind has a total of 11 standalone Gap stores in the National Capital Region, Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, Chennai, and Indore.
