Weko Acquires RotaSpray

Merger of functional wet finishing, digital printing pre-treatment and spray dyeing technologies. Weko Holding has taken over fellow German dyeing and finishing specialist RotaSpray, with retroactive effect from January 1st, 2021. With the merger of the two companies, competencies in the fields of functional wet finishing, digital printing pre-treatment and spray dyeing will be merged. Both companies believe that these segments offer good future opportunities, because the demand for resource-saving, CO2-reduced dyeing and finishing processes for textile yarns and fabrics is increasing rapidly, as are ever smaller production lot sizes per order. "We can now meet these requirements even more efficiently through the company merger," says Rainer Tuexen, former shareholder of RotaSpray, based in Oehringen. "For us, savings in chemicals, water, waste water and drying energy are important in order to make the processes not only more cost-efficient, but also more environmentally friendly." With its large network, Weko, headquartered Leinfelden-Echterdingen provides a globally well-structured service organisation that will look after RotaSpray products in the future. RotaSpray will continue to be managed as an independent unit within the Weko Holding Group and will focus purely on the textile sector. Weko has been developing and producing non-contact application systems for product optimisation and surface finishing with different types of liquids and powdery substances since 1953. The areas of application are broad and the textiles and nonwovens, paper, tissue, printing, wood fibre boards, foils and metal industries are all successfully supported.
