Textiles Committee Celebrates Its 58th Foundation Day

The Textiles Committee, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India celebrated its 58th Foundation Day on August 22, 2022. U.P. Singh, Secretary (Textiles) graced the occasion as Chief Guest. Roop Rashi, Textile Commissioner & Vice-Chairperson, Textiles Committee, addressed the gathering as Guest of Honour. Among the industry leaders, Suresh Kotak, Chairman, Kotak & Co., Dr. Pradeep Kumar Agarwal, CMD, CCI, Mahesh Kudav, Founder & MD, Venus Safety & Health Pvt. Ltd, Anil Jauhri, Former CEP, NABCB addressed the gathering as Special Guest. Ajit B Chavan, Secretary, Textiles Committee welcomed the guests and other dignitaries. U.P. Singh, Secretary (Textiles), appreciated the contribution of the Textiles Committee over the years and underlined the need for the Committee to strive to be able to provide unique services which no other entity can provide at similar cost and quality. Roop Rashi expressed satisfaction that Textiles Committee has evolved as a quality organisation working for inculcating quality culture among the key performers of the textile value chain. Ajit B. Chavan, Secretary and CEO, Textiles Committee highlighted that the Textiles Committee successfully transformed itself in the post-liberalisation era, from a regulator to a facilitator of growth. A souvenir of the Cotton Corporation of India (CCI) which celebrated 52nd Foundation Day was also released on the occasion.
