Huai’an based Recycled Polyester Yarn
manufacturer FixDye has selected polycondensation system from Oerlikon Barmag
Huitong Engineering (OBHE) to increase their production capacity.
FixDye is expanding production
capacity of polymer melt preparation for their downstream spinning mill. The
addition of melt preparation system from OBHE would allow FixDye to have better
yarn quality and also achieve better control on the supply chain of its
products, regardless of external influences. This is a significant advantage for
the companies working towards circular economy.
The plant with a capacity to produce 3
x 180 tons per day of recycled bottle flakes for textile filament yarn is a
clear commitment to the sustainable textile industry. The plant would come on-stream
from mid-2025 and will produce FDY and POY/DTY for the European and US markets.
The yarns produced would be spun-dyed (dope dyed) for ecological reasons which
uses no water for dyeing. Commenting on the development, Kevin Wang, General
manager, FixDye said "Reliability of the systems, efficiency and the
sustainable, energy-saving concept were the decisive factors in choosing OBHE
as the supplier of the polycondensation system."
