T.T. Ltd. Rings The Silver Bell With 25 Years Of Public Listing

T.T. Ltd. celebrated its 25th Anniversary of public listing by ringing the Silver Bell in Bombay Stock Exchange on 24 February, 2016. The prestigious function was presided by Padma Bhushan awardee D.R. Mehta (ex-SEBI Chairman) at the International Convention Centre of BSE, Mumbai. T.T. Ltd. was the first garment company to get listed on a stock exchange in 1990.In his speech, Mehta praised the company’s ethics and reinforced how over the years T.T. has built itself with honesty and integrity. He also mentioned how years back the company was launched to ‘civilise’ people by making them wear comfortable undergarments and today it reached a stage wherein the company is motivating consumers to get fashionable.

The Chairman and Founder of T.T. Group, Dr. R.C. Jain explained the journey of the company and its evolution which has its presence across 65 countries. He humbly accepted that, “I wasn’t self-made as said by many, but was made by all the people who walked with me over the long journey spanning almost 50 years”. Sanjay Jain, Managing Director laid down the vision and roadmap of T.T. Ltd. and exuded confidence and commitment to take the company to new heights. He felt opportunities for the company were enormous and the only limiting factor could be human resources. He further said, “Going forward the company would focus on value addition and brand building to create a strong portfolio of product lines to address the need of the middle class people of India.” The function ended with the “Ringing of the Silver Bell” which Jyoti Jain, Joint MD, explained “This ceremony doesn’t mark the completion of 25 years, but the beginning of its journey to a golden horizon, i.e. Golden Bell.”
