Arvind Ltd is expanding its footprint in the premium home
textiles segment, leveraging its decades of expertise in cotton, product
innovation and brand equity to capture the rapidly evolving domestic market.
Speaking to Textile Excellence during Bharat Tex 2026 at Bharat
Mandapam, New Delhi, Anurag Badal, Chief Executive Officer of Arvind Ltd, said
the company entered the home textiles business to bridge the gap between
premium quality products and organised branding in India. While the market
remains fragmented with several regional players, Arvind sees significant
opportunities driven by rising disposable incomes, increasing home ownership
and growing consumer preference for premium home décor products.
Badal said Arvind is focusing on the mid premium and premium
segments with an extensive portfolio of cotton bed linen featuring thread
counts ranging from 300 to over 1,000, alongside Jacquard, Dobby, digital print
and wrinkle resistant collections. The company is also introducing innovative
products such as fitted sheets, knitted sheets and specialised lifestyle
collections to differentiate itself in a highly competitive market. He noted
that Arvind's long-standing expertise in premium cotton apparel and its
relationships with leading global fashion brands provide a strong foundation
for delivering superior quality home textile products.
Although exports have already commenced, Badal emphasised
that the company's immediate priority is establishing Arvind as a trusted home
textiles brand in India before significantly expanding overseas. Existing
relationships with leading international retailers offer substantial long term
export opportunities once domestic operations achieve greater scale. He added
that product innovation, design diversity, efficient inventory management and
multiple stock keeping units will remain central to Arvind's growth strategy.
Reflecting on Bharat Tex 2026, Badal described the
exhibition as an excellent platform for showcasing Arvind's growing presence in
home textiles. The encouraging response from domestic retailers, organised
retail chains and overseas buyers has reinforced the company's confidence in
its long-term vision to become a leading premium home textiles brand while
strengthening India's position in the global home furnishing industry.
