Loepfe Brothers to showcase quality control solutions at ITMA Asia, Shanghai

Loepfe Brothers Ltd plans to showcase its portfolio of quality control solutions for the textile sector at ITMA Asia, which is scheduled to kick off at Shanghai from October 21 to October 25, it has been officially announced.

The company will inform participants about its new LabMaster series for the very first time in Asia at hall number 1 (booth number 28), according to a company issued release.

The LabMaster series consists of the measurement devices like Fibermap, Yarnmap and LabMaster Top. They integrate the most important measurements onto a single device, the release stated.

FiberMap measures all fibre-related parameters and delivers complete fibre profile throughout the whole preparation process of the spinning mill, from bale to finisher sliver.

It provides data of standard classing measurements and also measures process-relevant parameters like neps, seed coat neps, trash and stickiness. This enables easy sample preparation and large sample sizes, which result in high efficiency, defined as a throughput of upto 250 samples during an eight-hour shift, according to the release.

Yarnmap increases efficiency in the textile laboratory even further by enabling synchronised measurement of the most relevant yarn properties, like count, evenness, hairiness, and strength. In addition, all preparation products can be checked for mass evenness simultaneously.

The management cockpit LabMaster Top which completes the series, integrates all LabMaster devices onto a central data management system by delivering value-added reports directly on the management’s desk, making it an efficient tool for quality management in spinning mills.

During ITMA Asia, the company will also present its new yarn clearer called YarnMaster Zenit+, which incorporates fastest processors and measuring technology, which reliably detects even the finest yarn irregularities.

Just a single sensing head covers the range of yarn counts from Nec 2.4 to Nec 320, allowing even more precise yarn clearing and multi-layered evaluation.

The new yarn clearers and additional features like Nep cluster channel, off-standard bobbin detection, and improved foreign matter detection, enable a 100% online quality control in the spinning mill.

Displayed at the company stall will be its new online data management system MillMaster TOP, which can monitor and analyse the quality of data from Loepfe yarn clearers.

The company will also display YarnMaster 3N1, a yarn clearer which combines three sensors, namely an  an optical sensor for diameter measurement, an F-sensor for detection of foreign matter, and a P-sensor for detection of synthetic foreign matter like polypropylene.

Other spinning mill applications to be displayed will be the new WeftMaster Falcon-i optical yarn defects sensor which contributes to the quality of the end product. The sensor is able to detect and eliminate smallest knots, fluff or even filamentation from the weft yarn.

It can work with monofilament or multifilament yarns and is insensitive for yarn colour, while it is also suitable for high performance yarns such as glass fibre, aramid or carbon, the company release said.
