Walter Leung is happy to see that investments in India's processing sector are gaining momentum. "The Indian industry is seriously working towards sustainable dyeing solutions and is investing in effluent treatment too," observed Walter, Director, Sales & Marketing (Overseas), Fong's, during an exclusive interview with Textile Excellence, on the sidelines of India ITME 2016.
Fong's is the leading supplier of sustainable, green textile processing technologies, which offer the highest resource savings in the market. "An added feature is our latest software which helps to measure the resource consumption and savings in every batch," said Walter.
Fong's, during India ITME, had on show its comprehensive portfolio of dyeing and finishing machines, which are much popular in India. These included the Fong's TEC Series - High Temperature Piece Dyeing Machine, a new product was Dyecowin - High Temperature Dyeing Machine, Fong's Superwin, among others.
Fong's has been focusing on improving resource efficiency, quality, versatility of its machines, successfully. The TEC series is known for its high energy savings, an important feature for Indian mills. With Dyecowin, the company has achieved a major breakthrough in the long tube machine operating with a much lower running liquor ratio of 1:5. Superwin's revolutionary wave dyeing technology and intelligent control reduce liquor ratio to 1:3, making a mill many times more efficient and eco-friendly. Consumption of water, energy, additives and even manpower is much reduced.
Another area of focus for the company is automation. "While we will continue to offer cleaner technologies, we see that demand for automation is visibly increasing. It is important in China where mills are faced with higher costs of labour. It is equally important in India, where mills want consistent quality and low costs of processing," said Walter.
