AB Reiniger Collaborates With Welker To Provide Technologically Advanced Equipment

AB Reiniger Industries was established by R Anbazhahan in Coimbatore, a major textile hub in India. Anbazhahan had a single-minded focus to provide high quality reliable solutions for the textile industry. With more than twenty five years of industry expertise, he established AB Reiniger as a manufacturer of Over Head Travelling Cleaners (OHTC) and supplied thousands of OHTCs for various applications to many customers in Turkey, Bangladesh, Egypt, Peru, Nepal, Vietnam, Thailand and India. In a one-to-one interview with Textile Excellence, Anbazhahan talks extensively about a new German collaboration and what it means to the company and other expansion plans.

Tell us more about your partnership with WELKER for effectuating your company’s global network expansion.

AB Reiniger has decided to blend its skills in a joint venture agreement with WELKER Spintech of Germany. The collaboration will be responsible for manufacturing yarn conditioning plants (YCP) in India.

The technology and knowhow would be provided by Welker GmbH and AB Reiniger on its part will produce these machines in India without any compromise on quality.

Synchronous with the first phase of the project, this Indo-German joint venture will permit the Indian partner to manufacture Vapofix 120. These are cylindrical type of machines. They will come out under the brand name REINIGER WELKER YCP.

The machines will be rolled out from Reingier’s unit in Coimbatore. This will further enhance our product range in the years to come. We will also be taking care of the after sale servicing of the product in most parts of Asia. The range begins with Vietnam and extends up to Iran.

Can you elaborate on what is happening in the YCP and OHTC business front for your company.

Ashutosh Fibre has given the maiden order to our company. In addition, we have a few more projects on the anvil. Besides supplying solutions for YCPs, our company will also provide OHTC solutions for both the spinning and weaving market. Our core competence, namely the OHTC range gives wide coverage.

It extends from belt driven to power duct and chain drive models for the application of speed frame to ring spinning frames and winding frames.

We are optimistic and confident that Welker’s technological knowhow and expertise will open up our avenues to the world to sell our globally competitive overhead travelling cleaners with the brand name of REINIGER WELKER OHTC.

We will not only market it in Asian countries but also access markets in Europe and South America. We will be availing of their counterparts to achieve this.

What drove you towards the manufacture of YCP in collaboration with Welker technology?

I am a textile technocrat with more than 25 years of experience in the industry. I am of the firm conviction that there is a huge market for YCPs in India and its neighboring countries. Our aim is to garner a substantial chunk of the market within a few years from now. Welker’s facility is saddled with the latest CNC machines.

Moreover, it adheres to very stringent norms from our partner which is the parent company. This will enable us to provide European standard machinery on Indian soil.
