She emphasized that the technical textile market will continue to grow accompanied by a changing textile industry.” Demand from users of technical textiles is also growing at a robust pace. There is demand not only for existing products but also new inventions and innovations that are set to flood the market,” she elaborated.

When asked to name the market drivers for technical textiles, she said, “Global population growth, replacement of conventional building materials, rising housing expenditure, increasing complexity of industrial production, expansion of health care, growth in vehicle production, growth in expenditure on sport and leisure products and permanent opening up of new areas of application account for the overall drive in the market forces.”

The parallel exhibition Texprocess 2017 envisages the inclusion of cutting-edge technologies for design, cutting, IT, sewing, joining, embroidery, textile dressing, finishing and logistics. The new entrants in the list of realms handled by Texprocess 2017 include concentration of bonding and separating, CMT (cutting, making, trimming), CAD/CAM and printing.

Michael Janecke, Director Brand Management Technical Textiles and Textile Processing, said that he was optimistic about the response to the exhibition slated for India. In Frankfurt we had a tremendous response and it was a total sellout. “We expect to bring new technology and a new platform of clients to Indian technical textile industry,” he added.
