Mexico’s anti-dumping investigation on synthetic fiber blankets from China

On 1 March 2013, the Government of Mexico initiated an anti-dumping investigation against synthetic fiber blankets from China. The investigation was requested by Apolo Textil, S.A. de C.V. and Grupo Textil Providencia, S.A. de C.V .
In accordance with the Mexican legislation, 90 days after the initiation of the investigation the authorities must issue a preliminary determination:

(a) adopting preliminary anti-dumping duties,

(b) announcing the continuance of the investigation without imposing preliminary duties or

(c) concluding the investigation due to lack of evidence.

In all cases, 210 days after the initiation of the procedures the Mexican authorities must issue a final determination. In this manner, the Government will announce if these products from China will face final anti-dumping duties.
