KG Denim Net Profit Down 7.08% In FY17

KG Denim reported net sales of Rs 68950 lakh during FY17, down 2.59%, from Rs 70784 lakh, in FY16. The company's net profit was down 7.08% to Rs 2112 lakh in FY17, compared to Rs 2273 lakh in FY16.

Segmentwise, revenue from textile business during FY17 was down 2.63% to Rs 60241 lakh, from Rs 61870 lakh in FY16. Revenue from garmenting business was down 13.58% to Rs 15012 lakh, from Rs 17370 lakh in FY16. PBT from textiles business was marginally lower at Rs 5960 lakh in FY17 (Rs 5968 lakh in FY16). And from garmenting business PBT was Rs 71 lakh compared to a loss of Rs 5 lakh in previous year.

During Q4FY17, PBT from textiles stood at Rs 1054 lakh (Rs 1444 lakh in Q3FY17). This is much lower than the PBT of Rs 2251 lakh in Q4FY16. In Q4FY17, net sales were Rs 14043 lakh, 12.47% lower than in the third quarter of FY17.
