India: Dhanlaxmi Cotex net profit at Rs 2.45 mln in Q1, FY 2013-14

India’s Dhanlaxmi Cotex Limited, engaged in the manufacture of grey poplin, cotton poplin and suiting fabrics, has posted as net profit of Rs 2.45 million in the quarter ended June, 2013. This is much lower than the net profit of Rs 8.49 million in the previous quarter ended March 2013. During the financial year 2012-13, the company earned a net profit of Rs 14.37 million, an increase of 478% over the previous fiscal, according to the company’s financial statement.

The company reported net sales of Rs 182.22 million in the quarter ended June 2013, compared to sales of Rs 55.66 million in the previous quarter. Net sales during FY 2013 were to the tune of Rs 456.17 million, a 45% increase over the previous fiscal.
