ACIMIT Readies Strong Contingent Of Italian Textile Machinery Manufacturers For Irantex 2017

To ensure the presence of a strong Italian textile machinery manufacturer contingent at Irantex 2017, the Association of Italian Textile Machinery Manufacturers (ACIMIT) in partnership with Italian Trade Agency has organized a collective venture for the second consecutive year. The Irantex trade fair will be conducted in Tehran between September 4 to 7 2017.

In the previous year, the trade fair was attended by a good number of Italian manufacturers, and this year’s edition will be marked by the participation of 26 machinery producers. Of these, the following companies are ACIMIT associated members: A.Piovan, Bonino, Caipo, Cogentex, Corino, Cormatex, Cps Tex, Fadis, Ferraro, FK Group, Guarnieri Technology, Itema, Laip, Lgl, Pentek, Ramina, Reggiani Macchine, Santex Group, Smit, Stalam, Techroma, Textape, and Unitech.

“Thanks to its textile vocation,” explains ACIMIT president Alex Zucchi, adding “Iran has always represented an important market for Italy’s textile machinery industry. The global tensions of the past few years have slowed down trade and commerce, but the on-going relaxation process is opening up very interesting business prospects for our companies.”

The validation of this new phase can be found in the statistics of Italian sales in Iran. For the first three months of 2017, Italian exports to this specific market amounted to 12 million euros, whereas during the same period in 2016 sales had reached only slightly under 2 million euros.
