India: Alok Industries recognized for ‘Outstanding CSR’

Alok Industries Ltd, one of the leading integrated textile companies in India, has been awarded an "Appreciation Certificate" for outstanding Corporate Social Responsibility work in the field of development of infrastructure and improvement in the living conditions of the people of Union Territory of Dadra & Nagar Haveli by the Administration of Dadra & Nagar Haveli (UT), Silvassa.

Alok Industries reported total net sales of Rs. 2,995.18 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2013, as compared to Rs 2,422.75 crore in the corresponding period of the last fiscal, registering a growth of 23.63%. The operating EBIDTA for the quarter was at Rs 892.13 crores as against Rs759.26 crores in the corresponding quarter of last fiscal, registering a growth of 17.50%. The net profit after tax stood at Rs 32.91 crore as compared to Rs. 30.07 crore in the same quarter of last fiscal.
