Wrogn To Expand Retail Presence With 50 New Exclusive Brand Outlets By 2018

Sachin Tendulkar-funded start-up Universal Sportsbiz Pvt Ltd's (USPL) youth fashion brand, Wrogn, plans to spread out across India with more exclusive brand outlets.

 

The brand plans to strengthen its store presence by increasing to 50 stores by 2018. Most of the expansion will focus on North Indian cities.

 

Of the 50 exclusive brand outlets, around 20 stores are set to open by the end of the current fiscal. Focusing on North India, Wrong’s upcoming stores will be scattered effectively in mixed locations of metros and tier-1 and tier-2 cities.

 

According to company sources, though the brand will not go beyond its existing store design format, shop-in-shops are and will be effective extension of its exclusive outlets.

 

Presently, Wrogn has 12 exclusive brand outlets, of which four are in the fit-out stage and will open their doors soon.

 

Incidentally, USPL had raised a fresh round of investment of more than Rs 100 crore from its existing investor Accel Partners recently.

 

The company had also announced that the funds would be deployed to expand its product portfolio and retailing capabilities.
