The Dyestuffs Manufacturers Association of India (DMAI), jointly with the Dept. of Chemicals & Petrochemicals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Government Of India, is organizing a one-day seminar on `Green Chemistry in the Colorant Industry’, on September 20, 2013, in Mumbai’s Hotel Sea Princess.
The seminar aims to educate the dyestuffs manufacturers about the importance of application of green chemistry to protect the environment. Technical experts would be making presentations on the subject in two sessions. Dr. A.J.V. Prasad, Jt. Secretary, Dept. of Chemicals & Petrochemicals will inaugurate the seminar. Hardik Shah, Member Secretary, Gujarat Pollution Control Board would address the gathering and also chair the panel discussion.
Discussions will center around two topics:
1. Advances in Green Chemistry
2. Process Intensification Through Green Chemistry
