ACN
Acrylonitrile prices moved in varied direction in Asian markets with some reporting drop and sharp rises on the fortnight, particularly in India. In China, offer at port Lianyungang dropped further while Sinopec Anqing announced March settlement price lower than February. Some buyers were not satisfied with the settlement as it was much higher than spot prices. In Europe, spot prices remained unchanged despite drop in March contract values while export spot prices in US moderated. Asian ACN marker the Far East CFR fell US$10 to US$1,979-1,981 per metric ton while offers in India jumped US$100 to US$1,950-2,000 per metric ton CFR. European spot ACN prices were flat at US$1,903-1,907 per metric ton CIF Mediterranean while US export prices edged down US$10 to US$1,880-1,900 per metric ton FOB USG.
ASF
ASF market saw producers maintaining prices steady, waiting for a further downslide of raw material acrylonitrile cost. Downstream users bought limited volumes for need base consumption, indicating a thin market sentiment and less appetite for raw materials. In China, offers were steady at US$2.66-2.91 per kg while Taiwan origin 3D bright ASF tow offers rolled over at US$2.45-2.55 per kg. In India, ASF producers held offers stable at INR176.00-187.50 per kg (US$2.70-2.88 per kg), despite feedstock prices rose sharply.
