INVISTA optimizes performance with BRÜCKNER technology

INVISTA, one of the world's largest producers of nylon and spandex has always focused on investing in R&D to create unique technologies that create business opportunities and long-term value for its customers.

In 2012, INVISTA made a multi-million dollar investment in a China Textile Research Center next to its QingPu plant to speed the development and application of new fibers, fabrics and garment innovations.  The center offers comprehensive and innovative solutions to customers for almost every major aspect of the production process, including raw material sourcing, yarn processing, knitting, dyeing and finishing.

INVISTA’s China Textile Research Center is equipped with the BRÜCKNER multi-functional stenter machine for the R&D production of innovative fabrics that are blending natural and/or synthetic fibers together with LYCRA® fiber. Optimizing the performance of LYCRA® fiber, fabrics being processed by INVISTA through the BRÜCKNER machine are set in excellent condition of relaxation, heating and cooling, adding easy comfort, freedom of movement, better fit, shape retention as well as drape to the finished garments.

The multifunctional BRÜCKNER stenter at INVISTA is equipped with vertical chain STAR-DUR. The chain rail is completely maintenance free as all gliding elements are directly mounted onto the chain. At the same time, fabric waste can be reduced. A combined steam/electro heating is used for heating the machine. The temperature can be adjusted exactly in every half-zone to ensure an absolute uniformity of temperature over the whole length and width of the dryer.
