Bangladesh Textile Expo Slated For Grand Start

RedCarpet365 Limited organized a press conference on 6th May 2018 at Well Park Residence, Chattogram on the occasion of BIGTEX – Bangladesh Int’l Garment& Textile Machinery Expo 2018. BIGTEX 2018 is an international expo on Garment & Textile Machinery that will be held from 10 to 12 May 2018 at GEC Convention Center, Chattogram – Bangladesh.

 

BKMEA is the Associate Partner, Well Group is leading from front as Partner of the said exhibition. CTMA - China Textile Machinery Association, (organizer of ITMA + CITME) is the Strategic Partner of this expo. Garment & Textile Machinery, Equipment, Technology & Accessories - Manufacturer, Dealers, Suppliers & Importers from Home & Abroad have participated at this mega exhibition.

 

Chattogram is the 2nd RMG heartland after Dhaka & known as the Commercial Capital of Bangladesh. Being the major seaport of Bangladesh, Chittagong is handling about 92% of import-export trade of the country.

 

Targeting the entire Textile, Garment & Apparel industry of Chattogram, there will be concurrent exhibitions as Bangladesh Int’l Print, Pack & Signage Expo, Bangladesh Int’l Fabric & Yarn Expo & Bangladesh Int’l Dyes and Chemical Expo.

 

The Press conference was anchored by Fatematuj Johra, Director Marketing – Redcarpet365 Ltd along with Ahmed Imtiaz, CEO – Redcarpet365 Ltd. Md. Althaf Uddin, Sr. Joint Secretary (Administration) - BKMEA Chittagong Office has briefed about BKMEA’s role in this exhibition and in the Textile Industry of Bangladesh. Manzurul Ahsan Chowdhury, Executive Director - Well Group gave his inputs about the importance of these exhibitions and recent needs of quality manufacturers & exporters.  Fazle Karim Liton, Managing Director of Jack Machinery Import & Export, Chattogram brifed about potential of Chattogram’s Textile & Garment Machinery Market, Abdullah Al Maruf, Director Marketing – Redcarpet365 Ltd,  Sougath Majumder, Director Operations – Redcarpet365 Ltd stated about the participants & products that will be displayed at the expo.

 

Ahmed, CEO of Redcarpet365 Ltd mentioned that the expo will have almost 120 stalls with products from 12 countries including Bangladesh, China, England, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Sri Lanka and Turkey.

 

They also mentioned, Bangladesh is the 2nd largest apparel exporter in the world, top denim exporter to EU and has become the world's 2nd largest knitwear exporter in the world. Every 3rd European has a t-shirt made in Bangladesh on his back. Every 5th American wears jeans manufactured in Bangladesh. To keep this growth in continuation basis the Industry needs proper Machinery, Raw Materials, Yarn, Fabric, Dyes and Chemicals in regular basis.

 

He also added, “The vast economic potential of Chittagong, a city with unique advantages of ports, roads and railways, largely remains untapped. The port city can well drive the economy to achieve the coveted middle income status and reach the target of USD 50 billion garment export. It hosts about 40 percent of the country's heavy industries and the second RMG heartland, the commercial city. So there is lot of opportunities with sustainable business in this area. “

 

“These exhibitions will play an important role with the latest machineries, technologies, dyes / chemicals, yarns, fabrics available for Bangladesh on display with Manufacturers / Suppliers from the world available to our Industry at the doorstep,” he added.

 

“These Exhibitions will also no doubt provide an opportunity to our experts, engineers & technicians in the field of textile to have a practical knowledge of the recent technological advancements available, without going abroad,” he concluded.
