The latest paraphernalia in new textile technology was showcased in the course of the three-day apparel sourcing exhibition at Gautemala city. It was the 27th annual show in flow. The visitors were treated to state-of-the-art technology that had cutting edge advantages.
The show was held between May 15 and 17 2018. It brought together materials and machine suppliers from different geographical zones. They evinced their keenness in exhibiting colorful, quality textiles and new manufacturing tools. The tools exhibited enhanced efficiency through means of smarter programing techniques.
The grand show was conducted at the Grand Tikal Futura Hotel and Convention Center. The event was organized by Vestex, the Guatemalan association of textile manufacturers and apparel companies, and AGEXPORT, the export association of Guatemala.
Ricardo Quiñónez, who is currently serving his term as the mayor of Gautemala city exhorted the apparel leaders in the country prior to the ribbon cutting ceremony. Referring to them as a family, he said, “You should see the positive message at the show and continue to work together to make marvelous things." During the three-day event many of Guatemala's key representatives within the apparel industry and companies from around the world sought to bring more resources to attendees.
The focus of the discussion throughout the show was Guatemala's position as a reliable resource for apparel imports into the United States. The speakers summed it up saying, ‘The country's factories continue to offer faster turnaround times than Asia and focus on producing high-quality goods.”
