IITExpo Ichalkaranji 2018 To Promote Textile Requirements

The Powerloom Development & Export Promotion Council (PDEXCIL) is organising a Reverse Buyer Seller Meet (RBSM) - IITExpo - in Ichalkaranji, from December 6-8, 2018, with the objective of promoting exports from the powerloom cluster. The cluster, largely comprising of the SME units, need such events to promote their textiles in international markets. Attractively low participation fees makes the RBSM an ideal platform for a cluster that is only just exploring the export markets. Buyers from various countries have been invited including Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, UAE, Vietnam, Korea, Senegal, Zimbabwe, Mali, Malaysia, Australia etc. About 100 Indian textile exporters will be displaying a wide range of products with latest trends and qualities under one roof. The product range will include yarns, fabrics, garments and made ups. Ichalkaranji is one of India's important textile/fabric manufacturing clusters with over 150,000 powerlooms including auto and high speed shuttleless looms producing fine varieties of cotton and blended fabrics including industrial textiles. The cluster has 35 spinning mills many of which are 100% Export Oriented Units producing a wide range of counts, ply yarns, ring and open end yarns and fancy yarns, more than 20 power processes and about 50 hand processing units. A Mega Processing Cluster is also coming up in Ichalkaranji.
