At Knit Tech show in Tirupur, for the first time, Colorjet showed how well cut open knitted fabric can be printed on the Vastrajet digital inkjet printers without any special devices for fabric infeed or any additional human intervention. The 8-head machine was continually printing on a low gsm and elastic cotton knit fabric for three days till the fabric roll ran out and then switched to woven fabric. Visitors could see that the curling selvedge was posing no problem. Colorjet is the market leader in digital inkjet printers in India and it chose to take the difficult path of demonstrating at an exhibition the ease with which knit fabric can be printed. Interested visitors included some who brought their own fabric and design file. The machine was quickly adapted to the new style and in a matter of minutes started printing on an entirely different fabric with a different design. A variety of printed fabric samples were on display from sheer silks to thick durries, from cut pile terry towels to warp knit fabrics. Visitors also had the chance to see what kind of printing speeds could be achieved in 2 pass or 3 pass modes. Colorjet team welcomed all queries for the printing machine on display and also other models in their product range. Machine demonstrated at the show was on reactive ink but Colorjet also supplies machines on pigment or disperse dye inks and can be reached on info@colorjetgroup.com directly.
