Egypt's readymade garment factories have reduced their production output by 50% for winter garments compared to last year due to the impact of the pandemic, chairman of Egypt's readymade garments chamber Mohamed Abdel-Salam said. Abdel-Salam said factories expect demand to be low for winter clothes this season, as was the case with summer clothes earlier this year. The lockdown is impacting sales. Prices of winter garments are expected to remain the same as last year.
