Cambodia signed a landmark free trade agreement with China, along with other important bilateral documents in Phnom Penh. Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi presided over the signing ceremony of Cambodia-China Free Trade Agreement (CCFTA) at the Peace Palace. They also signed an agreement under which China will grant an aid of US$ 149 million to be used by Cambodia to build top priority projects in 2020. Other documents included conducting a feasibility study to improve Sihanoukville Provincial Referral Hospital and developing municipal sewerage system in the port city of Sihanoukville. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying had announced last week that Wang will also visit Malaysia, Laos, and Thailand, and will pay a transit visit to Singapore, according to media reports.
