RSWM To Increase Yarn, Denim Capacities, Set Up Knits Unit

Following the sale of the flagship fabric brand Mayur to the Donear Group, RSWM is now set to focus on capacity expansions. Said Riju Jhunjhunwala, Chairman & Managing Diretor, RSWM Ltd, “At RSWM, we will now exclusively focus on growing our capacity in melange by over 30,000 spindles and in denim by 15,000 spindles, producing an additional 7 lakh metres every month.” The company will employ the newly available Mayur land and building to set up a modern knits unit with capacity of 380 metric tonnes, which is expected to be operational in the fourth quarter of this year. “Over the last decade, LNJ Bhilwara Group forayed into a multitude of new avenues in technology textiles, energy and much more. In an effort to build up the competence of each of our business units, we have decided to consolidate the entire yarn business to reinvigorate and strengthen the backbone of this group,” he said. On August 28, 2021, Donear entered into an agreement for the purchase of current assets, intangible assets including distribution network, ancillary assets and trade receivables of synthetics fabric business of RSWM Limited.
