Saurer Bags Spinning Equipment Order Worth Euro 153 Million From DIW

Saurer and Shanghai Digital Intelligence World Industrial Technology Group Co., Ltd. (DIW) signed an agreement to supply state-of-the-art textile machinery to the latter. The agreement is valued over RMB 1.2-billion (Euro 153 million).

As per the agreement, DIW will procure Saurer’s spinning equipment for their upcoming projects. The supply of equipment will include Saurer's Blow Room, Carding, Roving as well as Ring spinning machines. The remaining process equipment for the projects - Draw-Frame and Combers have been selected from Rieter. DIW aims to set up large scale textile production facilities utilizing the latest technology to bolster traditional industry.

During the signing ceremony, Liu Yiming, President, DIW, revealed that the company has established four major industrial parks that would have spinning plants to produce spun yarns in the count range of Ne 32 - Ne 40.

Liu Yiming said that Saurer has been selected being a global leader in spinning equipment and having process solutions that are efficient, stable and have reliable performance. At the same time, Saurer offers precise management of factory through digital technology and automation solutions.
