Premier Textiles, one of Europe's
leading importers of fabrics, yarns and finished fabrics, has recruited a new
head of supply chain. Sarah Marlow joins the independent family owned group
which was founded in 1981 and has more than 50,000 sq. ft. of modern warehousing
space in Stockport and Bury.
Premier Textiles last year brought Premex
Solutions and opened new 10,000 sq. ft. warehouse in Atlanta to service the
growing demand of the digital print ready fabric in North American market. The group’s other core company Premier Digital Textiles is Europe's leading supplier for quality coated
fabrics for digital textile printing.
Sarah, who joined following a 15-year
spell with Arthouse, said: “I’m delighted to have become part of the team
working across the Premier Textiles group. The industry is going through an
exciting time and there’s a lot of competition. Premier is very well
established having been in existence for more than 40 years and we want to continue
to be at the forefront of innovation, product development and sustainability
solutions.”
Premier Textiles employs 40 people in
Greater Manchester and also owns Bancroft Soft Furnishings which was acquired
it in 1994. The company keeps a stock over 5 million linear metres of fabric at
any given time to cater to customers’ diverse needs.
Commenting on Sarah’s joining, Group
Managing Director Ashok Kallumpram said: “It’s very pleasing that Sarah has
joined. She has a great deal of experience and plenty of fresh ideas.
