The Indian Technical Textile Association (ITTA) which is spearheading
the development of technical textiles industry in the country, met the new Minister of Textiles Giriraj
Singh. ITTA Chairman Avinash Misar greeted the Minister and provided an overview
of the activities and achievements of the technical textiles industry over the
past decade. Also, the industry’s ongoing efforts and innovations for the
advancements in this sector were highlighted.
The Minister shared his insightful vision for the future of
technical textiles, emphasizing the importance of integrating emerging
technologies with cost-effective strategies to ensure widespread adoption,
particularly in the areas of Agrotech, Geotech, Protective Wear and Carbon
& Glass Fibre. He underscored the need for innovative approaches that can
drive mass dissemination and make a substantial impact.
Furthermore, the Minister encouraged ITTA's active participation
in various governmental interventions and initiatives. ITTA has expressed its
commitment to work diligently towards the goals outlined during the meeting in
close collaboration with TexMin and stakeholders.
