RSWM Partners With Adani Energy Solutions To Power 70% Of Operations Through Green Energy

RSWM Ltd, one of India’s leading textile manufacturers and the flagship company of the LNJ Bhilwara Group, has entered a landmark agreement with Adani Energy Solutions Ltd (AESL) to source 60 MW of renewable energy for its manufacturing facilities across Rajasthan. The move represents a major step toward RSWM’s goal of achieving a 70% renewable energy share in its total power consumption.

Under the Group Captive Scheme, RSWM has invested ₹60 crore with a renewable power generator to secure 31.53 crore units of green electricity annually. This initiative will nearly double the company’s current renewable contribution from 33%, positioning it well ahead of India’s national clean energy average of 31%.

Riju Jhunjhunwala, Chairman, Managing Director and CEO of RSWM Ltd, said the partnership reinforces the company’s long-term commitment to align industrial growth with environmental stewardship. “This achievement strengthens our vision of sustainable expansion and reflects our leadership in India’s responsible energy transition,” he stated.

Adani Energy Solutions’ CEO, Kandarp Patel, emphasized the strategic importance of the collaboration, calling it a milestone in industrial decarbonization. “Our partnership with RSWM highlights how renewable power can accelerate competitiveness while promoting sustainability,” he noted.

According to Rajeev Gupta, Joint Managing Director of RSWM Ltd, the integration of hybrid power will not only reduce the company’s carbon footprint but also improve energy security and operational efficiency.

RSWM currently operates 12 state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities with over 6.27 lakh spindles and exports to more than 70 countries. The company’s sustainability efforts already prevent 8 lakh tonnes of CO₂ emissions annually and recycle 183 crore PET bottles every year.
