KARL MAYER Unveils World’s First 4 Way Stretch Eyelash Lace, Redefining Luxury Lace Manufacturing

KARL MAYER has introduced a breakthrough innovation in warp knitting technology, unveiling a revolutionary eyelash lace featuring 4 way stretch capability ahead of ITM 2026 in Istanbul. The development marks a significant advancement for premium lingerie, fashionwear, and body fitting garments, where comfort, flexibility, and aesthetics are increasingly critical.

The new TEXTRONIC® lace combines the signature fringed eyelash appearance with elasticity in both directions, a feature previously unavailable in this category. Industry experts note that traditional eyelash lace was largely limited to rigid constructions or single direction stretch. Enhanced multidirectional elasticity improves garment fit, freedom of movement, and burst resistance while eliminating the need for zippers in many applications.

Production is enabled on KARL MAYER’s MT 84/1/40 S TEXTRONIC® Multibar Jacquard Raschel machine.
