Finnish textile innovation company Spinnova has strengthened its global manufacturing ecosystem after woven fabric specialist NZ TEX GROUP joined efforts to support the industrial scale adoption of SPINNOVA® fibre. The collaboration marks a significant step in moving sustainable textile innovation from development to commercial production.
NZ TEX Group brings vertically integrated manufacturing capabilities and extensive expertise in woven fabrics and denim production. Several years of joint product development have already resulted in successful fabric trials, particularly in denim applications. Focus now shifts toward large scale manufacturing and market deployment.
The partnership comes at a time when global demand for sustainable fibres continues to rise. According to industry estimates, sustainable and recycled textiles are expected to account for more than 25% of global fibre consumption by 2030. NZ TEX Group is currently producing denim fabrics containing SPINNOVA® fibre, which will be showcased at the upcoming Kingpins New York exhibition in July 2026, highlighting the commercial readiness of next generation textile materials.
