CLIMATEX Highlights Design For Disassembly At Textile Recycling Expo Brussels

Swiss textile innovation company CLIMATEX is set to spotlight a critical challenge in circular textiles at the Textile Recycling Expo in Brussels on June 24 and 25. The company will showcase its Dissolvable Thread Technologies at Booth 1533, demonstrating how Design for Disassembly can unlock higher quality feedstock for textile recycling.

Visitors will witness live disassembly demonstrations using STITCHLOCK™, a dissolvable sewing thread that enables garments to be separated into original components through water, heat and pressure using standard dyeing equipment. CLIMATEX will also display what it describes as the world’s smallest workwear garment, fully dismantled to highlight material recovery potential.

The company’s technology portfolio includes STITCHLOCK™, WEAVELOCK™ and KNITLOCK™, designed to integrate directly into existing textile manufacturing processes without requiring new machinery.
