All Eyes On Bharat Tex 2026 As Union Minister Giriraj Singh Opens India's Biggest Textile Showcase Today

Bharat Tex 2026 opens today at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, with Union Minister for Textiles Giriraj Singh set to inaugurate India's flagship global textile exhibition.

The inaugural ceremony will also be attended by Neelam Shami Rao, Secretary, Ministry of Textiles, along with Arti Kanwar, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Textiles, underscoring the Government of India's strong commitment to the growth and global expansion of the country's textile and apparel sector.

Over the next four days, Bharat Tex 2026 will bring together the entire textile value chain - from fibres, yarns and fabrics to apparel, home textiles, technical textiles, machinery, chemicals and sustainability solutions. The event is expected to host thousands of exhibitors, buyers, brands, investors and policymakers from India and around the world.

Organised by the Bharat Tex Trade Federation with the support of the Ministry of Textiles, the exhibition is expected to witness several policy announcements, business partnerships, technology launches and investment discussions aimed at strengthening India's position as a global textile powerhouse.

This year's exhibition features 1,600 exhibitors, over 20,000 products, 7,000+ international buyers, an estimated 1.3 lakh trade visitors, participants from 20+ countries, and 350+ global speakers. The four-day event will also host more than 100 knowledge sessions, facilitate 3,500 curated B2B meetings, and witness the signing of 20+ strategic MoUs, making it one of the world's largest integrated textile business platforms.

A major highlight of Bharat Tex 2026 is the return of the Official Bharat Tex Show Daily Newspaper, once again being published by Textile Excellence following its successful debut at Bharat Tex 2025. Published every morning from 14 to 17 July, the official newspaper will serve as the exhibition's daily news source, delivering comprehensive coverage of product launches, exhibitor announcements, business developments, knowledge sessions, investment news and market intelligence.

The publication offers extensive industry reach through an average of 30,000 printed copies every day, distributed free to exhibitors and visitors, while also reaching audiences digitally through the Bharat Tex website and mobile app, the Textile Excellence website, email campaigns, WhatsApp and social media. The combined print and digital platforms are expected to generate a cumulative reach of more than 1.48 million industry professionals during the four-day exhibition.

Bharat Tex 2026 has attracted strong participation from India's leading textile companies and global technology providers. Major sponsors include Trident Group India, Vardhman Textiles, RSWM Limited, Shahi Exports Pvt. Ltd., COLORJET, Arvind Limited, PDS Limited and Sattva, reflecting the exhibition's growing stature as India's premier global textile business platform.

As the doors open today, Bharat Tex 2026 is set to become the global meeting point for manufacturers, brands, buyers, technology providers, investors and policymakers, driving new business opportunities and reinforcing India's position as a trusted global sourcing and manufacturing hub.
