A.T.E: We Received Good Number Of Orders For Tayu Machines At DTG 2015

How was the response to DTG? Did Tayu show any new launches?

The response to DTG 2015 has been very good. We have had all our customers visiting and a good response was given to the exhibited machine. The most common machine for Bangladesh market is a single jersey machine in open width category to produce fabric with elastane. Tayu displayed this machine in 36" diameter and running in appreciably good speeds, much to the customers' surprise. The machine received much appreciation for its structure, design and speed from customers visiting our booth. We have booked a very good quantity of machines during the exhibition from customers coming from different areas of Bangladesh.

How was the business in the last year and how do you foresee the business for this year in Bangladesh, knowing the current situation?

Last year though the business for knitting machines was good, we were unable to sell many due to price revisions done by our principals while the customers' expected otherwise. We have been able to tide over this factor for the coming year and have already received good quantity orders with L/c, which should continue to give us handsome returns. A good pre-sales followed by excellent post sales activities in terms of services given during the warranty periods by our own people and beyond will ensure good customer satisfaction resulting in repeat orders. We would also do some branding activities like a seminar to bring our existing customers as well as new customers on the same platform for good exchange of ideas and feedback for improvement.

What is the advantage of Tayu machine over others?

Tayu is a complete engineering company manufacturing all items in-house including cylinders, cams, etc. The use of modern mother machines give it an edge over many other competitors as it can sustain the quality of its offerings much better. A solid cast iron structure with precision engineered components including alloy steel of Japan for the textile head as well as using Japanese and German bearings separate it from the herd. A quality oriented approach rather than just 'selling at any cost' makes Tayu a company which listens to its customers and other stake holders in addressing issues timely and surely.

How is the preparation for ITMA 2015? What new can the industry expect in ITMA 2015 from Tayu?

This time Tayu will refrain from participating in ITMA 2015 as an exhibitor. However, the wheels of innovation and quality will keep moving continuously. The existing products (Tayu has almost everything to offer in circular knitting) will be fine-tuned further and more tighter tolerances will be applied to make the products deliver an absolute value-for-money proposition to the customer.
