From the opening day of ITMA this year, Yamuna's booth has been busy with visitors and several potential customers. Textile Excellence got a chance to converse with Prashant Mangukia, the young and dynamic man taking brand Yamuna forward in the global market. Below is a snippet of the short and crisp chat. Singeing machine range options:

1. Singeing head from Bejimac, Belgium and entry, brushing, impregnation and batching from Yamuna.

2. Burners, gas train and controllers from Bejimac, Belgium and machine manufactured by Yamuna.

The process is particularly versatile and cost effective too because of the right combination of technology and design. Yamuna ensures long life of burners, auto flame adjustments to restrict wastage and keeps the overheating under check through water cooled thermostatic arrangements. The machines comes with individually driven Brushing and Beating units which ensures uniform and effective singeing. The singeing machine range is available with or without desizing compartment for woven fabrics as well as machine for open width knitted fabrics.

Continuous Desizing and Over Dyeing Ranges

To enable a smooth desizing and dyeing process, Yamuna has manufactured continuous pre treatment desizing and over dyeing ranges with finest technology. This effective solution removes unwanted sizes like PVA to starch with enzymes and suitable for dyeing the fabric with reactive, vat or sulphur dyes. The electromagnetic flow sensor and stainless steel construction of the dosing tanks makes the process of dosing smoother and efficient.

Mercerising, Washing, Shrinking and Finishing Ranges

Yamuna has also ensured a proficient mercerising process by introducing roller bed technology in impregnator and a stabilizer zone within the process. This ensures better quality and dimensional stability to the fabric. Yamuna finally seals the denim processing with a two options either wet finishing or foam finishing.

How has been the response at ITMA this year?

We have signed for a machinery line in Egypt, quite hopeful about the European market as well. We have had considerably good discussions and queries from several customers, including a few from India too. The response was really more than what we have expected. This is the scenario for Yamuna at this ITMA, apart from that when you talk of denim specifically; I can say that we had a good time. People responded, but the denim market is definitely huge, so we are sure that it will take some time for deals to mature and we are ready to wait.

Our range is definitely value for money and of course the 'made in India' factor is a big advantage for us, when we approach customers with our range.
