ITAMMA Expert Panel: Will Contribute In Accomplishing Make In India, Skill India & Stand Up India Schemes

The ‘Make in India’, which is an initiative programme launched by Hon'ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi on 25th September, 2014 is to encourage companies to manufacture their products in India.

India needs to create an effective environment to enable its Heavy Industrial Enterprises to acquire and evolve futuristic as well as revolutionary technologies to catalyze the manufacturing growth to compete with their global competitors in International market and showcase Indian quality products, produced in India under ‘Make in India’.

In order to deliver a state of the art ‘Make in India’ product, one has to adopt latest technologies or innovations, either through a Basic Research or through an Applied Research.

To enhance the process of Applied Research, Department of Heavy Industry (DHI), Ministry of Heavy Industries & Public Enterprises, Govt. of India had notified a niche funding scheme for enabling outright Acquisition of Technology focusing especially focusing on few Futuristic & Revolutionary areas across prominent Capital Goods sectors under the 12th Five Year Plan.

Ministry of MSME and Department of Heavy Industry (DHI), Ministry of Heavy Industries & Public Enterprises had also established a funding scheme on "Enhancement of Global Competitiveness of Indian Capital Goods Sector" designed to support the industry to modernize technologies from current status to global level and beyond.

Further to arrange the adequate skilled man-power for the successful implementation of the above activities, the Govt. of India has also launched a "Skill India Development Mission" with a target to skill 40 crore persons by 2020.

The Government of India has also launched another employment scheme  "Stand up India Scheme" ( SUIS) to give away a loan amount, not a job to those who are unemployed and want to be financially dependent.

Considering all the above initiatives of the Government of India for the development of the Country, we at ITAMMA felt that the "Industry Experts" will play a vital role in the successful implementation of all the above schemes. Accordingly on 30th October, 2015 ITAMMA has launched a "ITAMMA Expert Panel" setting a target to have about 400 Textile Technologists & Engineers on this Panel, who shall support the entrepreneurs of Textile Engineering Industry in technological development and successful execution of the various schemes of the Govt. of India in addition to the individual projects.

It is much to our pride that Indian Technocrats are in demand and are being respected for their sincerity, punctuality and especially their sustainability in knowledge and hardships. Also many Indian Textile Technocrats, viz.
