Saurer Twisting Division, the world’s leading company for textile yarn twisting, which owns famous brands like Volkmann for staple fibre yarn, carpet yarn as well as glass yarn twisting, besides Allma for tyre cord and industrial yarn twisting, recently reorganised its sales structure in India.
With a manufacturing plant in Krefeld, Germany and another in Suzhou, China, these products are not only market trendsetters but ensure that customers benefit in terms of Triple Added Value E3 – Energy, Economics and Ergonomics, according to a company release.
After a long and successful association with A.T.E., Saurer-Volkmann’s management has decided to have its own sales management person for Indian market who will work closely with agents at different locations in this important market.
Tapas Nandi, who has 25 years of experience in sales of spinning and weaving machines as well as worked in leadership positions at various companies, has been roped in as Regional Sales Director (Twisting). He has been operating from the Mumbai office of Saurer Textile Solutions Pvt Ltd since October 17.
Commenting on the development, Saurer Twisting Group’s Head Sales & Marketing Gerd Poehlmann said, “We know Nandi since a long time as he was responsible for Volkmann Products with our earlier agent A.T.E. We are sure that with Nandi in our company, we will be able to serve this important market much better.”
Besides Nandi, four other sales agents have been appointed in four important textile regions of the country.
MSB Consulting will look after the market in Delhi, Punjab and other north Indian states except Rajasthan, while Soham Enterprises will be responsible for Western Indian states like Gujarat, Maharashtra and Rajasthan.
Excel in Guntur is responsible for Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka as well as Telengana, while the Coimbatore-based Spinwell will be responsible for Tamil Nadu and Kerala markets.
Experienced Volkmann engineers from SR Global Services will take care of installation as well as after sales service.
