Kanchan India Ltd Receives Schlafhorst’s 2.5 Millionth Autoconer Winding Unit

Kanchan India Ltd has received Schlafhorst’s 2.5 millionth Autoconer winding unit.

 

"We value Autoconer, since it conserves resources while delivering high productivity. We will be delighted to put Autoconer winding unit number 2.5 million into operation," Kanchan India's Executive President Pawan Mangal said, according to press release.

 

Kanchan already operates over 2,000 Autoconer winding units. The company employs around 10,000 staff, with a daily production output of 100 tonnes of ring yarn made from cotton and cotton blends, as well as CO/lycra and duo-core yarns featuring various counts and qualities.

 

"Autoconer enables us to achieve outstanding package and splicing quality for all yarns within our broad product range," Kanchan India's Managing Director Nilesh Banger said. The company is currently investing in a new and fully automated winding department, omprising 22 Autoconer-6 machines of Type V.

 

Schlafhorst too is proud to have reached a milestone, as the first quarter of 2017 will see its 2.5 million the Autoconer winding unit enter operation with Kanchan India Ltd.

 

When series production of the Autoconer 107 was launched way back in 1962, this kicked off the age of automatic package winding. Even during its 1959 preview appearance at ITMA in Milan, its revolutionary concept had thrilled specialists from the textile industry. Since then, the Autoconer name has been synonymous with automatic package winding and its packages have represented the global benchmark.
