SITRA Reconstitutes Its Governing Body At Recent Annual General Body Meeting

SITRA, at its recently conducted Annual General Body Meeting that was held on 30th September 2016, reconstituted its governing body, namely its Council of Administration.

 

Dr. K. V. Srinivasan, Managing Director, Premier Mills Pvt. Ltd., Coimbatore was elected as theChairman of the Council of Administration. He has been a member of the Council for 25 years,since 1991. He is also the Managing Director of Sree Narasimha Textiles Pvt Ltd and Premier Fine Linens Pvt Ltd.

 

Dr K V Srinivasan has a Doctorate in Textile Technology from the University of Manchester. He has been recently elected as Vice Chairman of The Cotton Textiles Export Promotion Council (TEXPROCIL) wherehe has been serving as a Committee member from 1998. He has also been a Member of the Advisory Board of International Textile Manufacturers Federation, Zurich (ITMF) from 2010.

 

Other positions held by him include, Chairman of the Yarn Committee, The Cotton Textiles Export Promotion Council, from 2007 to 2009,  Member, Young Entrepreneurs Group of the International Textile Manufacturers Federation, from 2000 to 2003, Chairman, Southern India Mills Association (SIMA), Coimbatore, from 2007 to 2009, Chairman, CII, Coimbatore Zone, for 2015 - 16.

 

Sanjay Jayavarthanavelu, Chairman and Managing Director of Lakshmi Machine Works Ltd., Coimbatore was elected as Vice-Chairman of the Council of Administration. He has been a member of the Council for 14 years, since 2002.

 

Sanjay Jayavarthanavelu has an MBA from Philadelphia University, USA. He is an Executive Committee member of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI), NewDelhi. He is a Member of the Southern Regional Council of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). He is also serving as a Member of the Development Council for Textile Machinery Industry that was constituted by the Government of India. He also held the post of Chairman of Tamil Nadu State Council of CII.
