Techtextil India, India’s largest exhibition for technical textiles and nonwovens, will be underway this week, from 13 – 15 September 2017. Hosting over 175 exhibitors from 10 countries, the exhibition will showcase the entire technical textile and nonwoven industry value chain.
This includes 10 product groups and 12 application areas of Agrotech, Buildtech, Clothtech, Geotech, Hometech, Indutech, Medtech, Mobiltech, Oekotech, Packtech, Protech and Sporttech over the three days.
The business event is expected to be inaugurated by Dr Kavita Gupta, IAS-Textile Commissioner, Ministry of Textiles, government of India. Guest of honour Gabriele Boner, Deputy Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Mumbai will also be present at the inauguration.
Product introductions and live demos have been lined up by market leaders. They include Reliance Industries, Welspun, Garware Wall Ropes, Groz Beckert, Khosla Profil, Luwa India, Lenzing AG, Archroma, and CHT India and garment machinery manufacturers, namely IIGM, Tukatech, Mehala Machines Ltd., Turel sales Corporation, GA Morgan Dynamics Pvt. Ltd., Bierrebi, Optitex, and Lectra. These brands will provide the demos to the pavilion.
Additionally, as the Official Partner State for 2017, the Government of Telangana will also promote textile policies and network with potential investors at the fair. The Department of Handloom and Textiles is currently working to strengthen the textile and apparel industry, and has launched many incentive based programs in areas such as capital support, power tariff and land price to attract investors for the fair. The Kakatiya Integrated Mega Textile Park is one of the key focus areas presented by the state at the 6th edition.
