The denim major Arvind Ltd, has very ambitious expansion plans and intends to consolidate its position by netting a INR 10,000 business corpus in the next five years, disclosed a company official. The major B2B player in the Indian market is based in Ahmedabad.
The plan involves expanding capacity of its existing units and setting up new units too over a period of three to five years, envisaging an additional investment of INR 1,500 crore. Currently, the company senses a worthwhile opportunity in the newer areas of operation it is involved in such as athleisure.
The CEO for Arvind Ltd Lifestyle Fabrics Denim, Aamir Akhtar indicated that the company is planning a quantum leap from the current INR 6000 crore corpus to INR 10,000 corpus in the coming four to five years.
Akhtar further said that Arvind is also on the pipeline plans to carry on with its CAGR growth of 16 percent and above in the coming years. At present, the company has offset a process by which its branded apparel and engineering businesses get demerged.
Arvind Fashions, the company’s branded apparel business in the near future will be listed as a separate entity. Arvind Ltd is in denim, knits & wovens and voiles textiles segments.
