SHIMA SEIKI to showcase its latest collection ‘Isola Bella’ at Coterie

SHIMA SEIKI Mfg., Ltd. of Wakayama in Japan, a leading manufacturer in the computerized flatbed knitting machine industry with its US subsidiary SHIMA SEIKI U.S.A. INC., will participate in the Coterie exhibition in New York this month. The exhibition is scheduled from September 17-19, 2013. The company plans to display the latest collection of the “Isola Bella” brand of knitwear line, including the latest in seam-free WHOLEGARMENT® knitwear that features superior fit, comfort and draping characteristics.

Also on display will be the latest version of SHIMA SEIKI’s “SDS-ONE APEX3” 3D design system. APEX3 is at the core of SHIMA SEIKI’s “Total Fashion System” concept, made possible due to its comprehensive support of the knit production process from planning and production to sales promotion, as well as its capability for virtual sampling. Ultra-realistic simulation capability allows virtual sampling to minimize the costly time- and resource-consuming sample-making process. At Coterie it will be used to demonstrate this streamlined process as it applies to select items exhibited within the Isola Bellaline.

APEX3 also supports design and simulation in a variety of other industries such as circular knitting, weaving, pile weaving, printing and more. Demonstrations for virtual sampling along with 3D modeling, 3D mapping and 3D fitting simulation are available for these processes as well.

SHIMA SEIKI will also exhibit at the Première Vision show in Paris as the sole machine technologist in the “Knitwear Solutions” category for the flatbed knit sector, following its participation in the inaugural edition of Knitwear Solutions two seasons ago.SDS-ONE APEX3 (3D Design System) and WHOLEGARMENT® knitwear samples will be on display at thePremière Visionshow.Few WHOLEGARMENT® knitwear samples will be exhibited at the “Knitwear Focus Forum,” a newly implemented fashion information forum within Knitwear Solutions highlighting products by select exhibitors.

Première Visionis is also scheduled from September 17 to 19 in France.
