Joining the bandwagon of India’s womenswear market is the American brand- The Limited, which plans to open over five stores in India early next year. The Limited is an iconic fashion retailer and is well-known as a store concept that began mall-based specialty retailing. From modern suits and business separates, to event dresses and casual sportswear, the fashion of The Limited has been trend-right for every season.
International apparel brands are making inroads in India and womenswear market is seeing a stiff competition in the country with big players such as Mango and Zara, which has already set a strong foothold in the country. Spanish-fashion brand Zara made an entry in India in 2010 and there are further plans to open around 20 stores in the country including in cities such as Surat and Indore.
The Limited plans to open over five stores and Bradford Licensing is helping the US brand find a company that can produce quality merchandise within India and also roll-out large number of stores.
