Pak To Showcase Texpo 2nd Edition In Early Summer 2019

In the forthcoming summer, in early April, more than 60 Chinese delegates are slated to participate in the second edition of Texpo. The event is scheduled to be held in Lahore between April 11 and 14. Organizers opine that the event will be playing host to the largest international delegation from China. Counting the number of registrations, the event spokesman said it has currently crossed the 60 mark. Pakistan Trade Development Authority and the Ministry of Commerce announced that invitations have been sent to textile importers, international purchasers and global brands to confirm their participation. The array of products that will be on display in the exhibition include cotton yarn, fabric, knitwear, ready-made garments, handcuffs, towels, stockings, leather garments and accessories, handicrafts, bedding, textile machinery, tents, carpet and sportswear. The domestic textile industry has evinced keen interest in the event and things have picked up momentum in the second edition disclosed top level sources among the organizers. Backing the claim with statistics, the official disclosed that TDAP has already attracted buyers that occupy more than 80% of the space. The exhibition will play host to leading textile brands that will include Sapphire, Chen One, Siddique Sons, and Rajby. The brands will be exhibiting their top quality products. Figures furnished by the organisers indicate that more than 170 exhibitors cutting across the textile value chain have already booked their space for the exhibition. Furthermore a memorandum of cooperation has been inked between TDAP and Pakistan Fashion Design Council to conduct fashion shows on the sidelines of TEXPO.
