Ken Enterprises Sets The Path For Direct Exports From Ichalkaranji

Ken Enterprises, Ichalkaranji has once again been awarded two Texprocil awards for 2019-20 - Gold Award for highest employment generation in MSME units, and Silver Plaque for highest grey fabric exports from India (Category I) and. Ken Enterprises has been winning Texprocil awards for some years now. This is quite an achievement for Ken Enterprises, given that the company, operating from Ichalkaranji cluster, started exporting only from the third quarter of 2014-15. Says Nikunj Bagdia, Director, Ken Enterprises, "We are very lucky to have been recognised with Texprocil awards for three years. Especially considering that our exports started in the third quarter of 2014-15 and we got the recognition in our first full year of exports in 2015-16 itself. Also, we are proud of our team who have helped us to achieve this performance. We are especially proud of our export performance given that we are based in Ichalkaranji, a cluster that was not known for direct exports in 2015." In 2015-16, Ken Enterprises won the Texprocil Gold Plaque for highest grey fabric exports from India (Category I). In 2018-19, the company won two Texprocil awards - Silver Plaque for highest grey fabric exports from India (Category I) and Gold Award for highest employment generation in MSME units. "We also got recognised by the Government of Maharashtra for second highest textile exports from MSME in the state for the year 2016-17," said Nikunj. The year 2020-21 too has turned out to be good for the company. “We have kept our team motivated during these challenging times, we have engaged with customers intensively. We even ventured into new markets in the EU and Brazil during the pandemic,” said Nikunj.
