India: Exports to put Garware Wall Ropes in top gear

Garware Wall Ropes Ltd., one of India’s largest manufacturers and exporter of Synthetic Cordage and Netting, has doubled its exports since the last four years and has increased its focus towards new product development to strengthen its market leadership in the synthetic cordage exports market Globally. Export sales constitute around 43% of the company’s total revenue of 603 crores in financial year 2013.

Catering to more than 75 countries across the globe, the products manufactured by the company are widely accepted in countries like USA, Europe, Canada, Australia and Russia due to its customized product offerings. Company has invested in strong R & D culture and has backed it with sustained brand building efforts in overseas markets.

Garware Wall Ropes has an extensive chain of business partners across all continents that help the company in increasing its penetration. The company is mainly engaged in export of products related to Fisheries, Aquaculture, Shipping, Sports, Agriculture nets and Coated Fabrics.

Mr. Pravin Gogia, AVP, Exports, Garware Wall Ropes Ltd. says, “Our strategy has been to develop products that are application focused solutions for customers and this had led to us being identified as preferred strategic partner . Our R&D team works closely with the end users to come up with value added product and services.” The R&D unit of the company is recognized by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India.

Company has been awarded top exporter award from PLEXCONCIL for several years and it is also the largest sports goods exporter from India. The Company is a Government recognized 'Export House' and has received Export Awards for its excellent performance. They earned total foreign exchange of Rs. 263 cr. for the year 2013.
