Vadiraj Kulkarni Assumes The Role Of Business Head, Cellulosic Fibres At Grasim Industries

Grasim Industries, a flagship company of the Aditya Birla Group and a global leader in man-made cellulosic fibres, has announced that Vadiraj Kulkarni has assumed the role of Business Head of its Cellulosic Fibres business, effective April 1, 2025. He succeeds HK Agarwal, who has transitioned to the role of Group Advisor at Aditya Birla Management Corporation Private Limited (ABMCPL). Kulkarni joined Aditya Birla Group on October 1, 2024, and is well-positioned to lead the next phase of growth for the company’s cellulosic fibre division, which plays a pivotal role in global textile sustainability efforts.

Kulkarni brings with him over 28 years of robust experience in P&L management, operations, and manufacturing, with a proven track record in delivering performance excellence across large-scale industrial platforms.

Grasim’s cellulosic fibre business, known for pioneering environmentally responsible products such as Livaeco and Birla Modal, is poised for strategic expansion under Kulkarni’s stewardship. His leadership is expected to enhance operational efficiencies, accelerate innovation in eco-friendly fibre technologies, and deepen partnerships across global textile ecosystems. With sustainability at the core of Grasim’s vision, Kulkarni’s appointment comes at a crucial juncture as the company looks to align its fibre solutions with circular economy principles and evolving global fashion industry standards.
