Brandix India Apparel City Explores Taiwan Partnership Opportunities To Boost Apparel Ecosystem

Brandix India Apparel City (BIAC) in Visakhapatnam hosted a high-level business delegation from Taiwan to explore deeper collaboration across apparel manufacturing, technology and value chain integration. The visit signalled growing interest from Taiwanese textile and apparel players in India’s expanding production base, supported by strong export performance and government led manufacturing incentives.

The delegation comprised senior representatives from textile machinery, synthetic materials, functional fabrics and apparel technology firms that are seeking new investment routes amid shifting global sourcing patterns. India’s apparel exports touched US$15.6 billion in FY24 and are projected to rise in FY26 driven by stronger demand in the United States and the European Union. Taiwan’s industry, known for its innovations in performance materials, sees India as a strategic market for long term growth.

BIAC showcased its fully integrated manufacturing zone that spans 1,000 acres and houses leading global apparel brands and suppliers. The delegates interacted with top executives across operations, sustainability, product development and workforce management. Discussions centred on advanced manufacturing technologies, green energy adoption, synthetic fabric processing and opportunities to co-develop high performance apparel for activewear and outdoor segments.

Industry analysts view the Taiwan India connection as a timely growth lever. India’s aim to strengthen its synthetic and technical textile play aligns closely with Taiwan’s global expertise in value added textiles. The collaboration holds potential to accelerate innovation driven apparel manufacturing in the region.
